So, without further ado, I want to share my top 5 favorite Sephora Spring Sale products and what I purchased for the sale.

My Overall Sephora Favorites

  1. Dior Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer, $29.50 – This is my secret product. I have not seen that much online about it, but I think it perfectly thickens and lengthens my lashes. I cover my lashes twice with this clear base and then add mascara. Although it may seen excessive to use clear mascara first, the difference is night and day.
  2. Buxom Lash Mascara, $20 – Again, I am surprised this product doesn’t have more hype. I get more compliments on my lashes than anything else and I swear by this mascara. Buxom mascara adds the perfect length, volume, separation, and boldness I love. I empty the product far before it dries out and it never clumps on me.
  3. Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner in Black, $20 – At least 50% of this eyeliner survives it through hot yoga class. The skinny point does not fray and applies smoothly. It goes on a liquid and dries immediately. It does not last as long as my other favorite, MAC blacktrack liquid liner, but I prefer using 1 less tool. Also, the tattoo liner is more sharp and opaque in color.
  4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Pencil, $21 – This is my absolute favorite brow pencil. No other brand nails my natural color as well as ABH. In addition, this brow pencil is skinny and easily mimics natural brow hairs. Finally, it has excellent staying power and does not wear off through the day. It doesn’t last as long as the regular pencils, but I prefer the twist up packaging to carrying a sharpener and the ‘colored in’ look the pencil gives if not fully sharpened.
  5. Kat Von D Shade + Light Creme Contour Refillable Palette, $49 – I have tried the contour palettes offered by nearly every brand. I love the consistency, pigmentation, colors, and durability of this palette. The palette is color appropriate from very fair to medium dark skin tones. A common mistake people make in contouring is the use of orange-toned bronzers. Contour is supposed to mimic natural shadows, and since shadows are grey rather than dark orange, the colors in this palette are very natural. If you favor certain colors in the palette, or have a color break, Kat Von D offers individual color replacements that are less cost than buying a whole new palette. What I Purchased From the Sephora Sale

  1. BBF Beauty’s Best Friend BeautyBlender, $40 – Just this weekend I cleaned my beauty blender its third time. I cleaned an off-brand blender simultaneously- for the first time- and the off-brand tore at the end! Forget brushes for foundation and concealer application. These sponge like tools evenly spread your liquid makeup perfectly. I like this 2-pack because it comes with free cleansing soaps and this adorable heart shaped holder. PRO TIP: Beauty blenders spread makeup BETTER and soak up less when they are wet FIRST. This handy heart-shaped container keeps the wet blender separate from my dry brushes and makeup packaging. Plus, this keeps the sponge from adsorbing bacteria or loose product. PRO TIP 2: If you do not want to buy this container or already have a BB, grab an Easter Egg to store/hold your beauty blender!
  2. Tom Ford Bronzer Brush, $115 – I have hear Courtney Shields of BYOBeauty.com rave about this brush so many times. I’ve had my eye on it for years, so I finally caved and ordered it online! Caveat: Only available via online order.
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette $42 – ABH’s Modern Renaissance palette is my all-time favorite and their other palettes have mediocre reviews. I was psyched to see another ABH palette receive great reviews, so I pulled the plug. Look for a video tutorial on my YOUTUBE soon!
  4. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in “Luminous Bronze Light,” $50 – I love the highlighter stick I received and reviewed HERE, so I decided to grab this bronzer for summer. I wanted to branch out from my usual NARS bronzer and I love the glowy highlight color mixed into this palette. I have already tested this bronzer and it provides a beautiful, natural, sun-kissed glow!
  5. Hourglass Highlighting Trio, $60 – This is another BYOB-inspired grab. I love THIS stick highlighter from THIS post, but I wanted to find something less glisteny for my T-zone (forehead) and under-eyes.
  6. Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray,  $26– This spray is just TOO good. I put this product in my hair directly after a blow-dry it and it instantly adds volume and movement to my otherwise flat head of hair. It smells great and the bottle seems to last a while.
  7. Smashbox Liquid Liner in “Big Spender,” $24 – I was wearing this in my IG stories yesterday. It is bold, matte, opaque color that stays through kisses. I want so many colors!

BONUS: What I Bought at the Fall Sephora Sale

  1. Dry-bar Triple Sec 3-in-1 Spray, $26 – My hubby loves the way this product smells. He literally compliments me every time I wear it. It is not my favorite dry shampoo, but it adds immense texture and a subtle shine to my hair. Finally, it removes frizz and acts as a light hairspray.
  2. T3 Whirl Micro Trio Interchangeable Hair Curler, $270 – People often ask my how I curl my hair. This product is VERY pricey but worth the investment. There are interchangeable barrels (I prefer the 1″), 5 levels of heat, a super long cord, ceramic covered barrels that do less damage than metal, and it comes in a beautiful color combo. This product is a favorite across the beauty blogosphere and after we all tested my sister’s at a bachelorette, ALL my sisters and cousins use this!
  3. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, $38 – This is the secret product of all contour queens. This product is essential if you use BOTH liquids and powders together. It creates a wet-less surface across foundation or concealer so your powder will not stick to funky spots. I wish this existed in middle school when I walked around with pink concealer spots from ignorantly concealing then blushing- *eeeek!*

BONUS: What I Plan to Buy at the Next Sephora Sale

Dyson Special Edition Supersonic Hair Dryer Set, $399– I love my little aqua Harry Josh Hair Dryer, but its cracked in several places from my clutz hands and vibrating off the counter during my round-brush sessions. However, I do feel like the dryer air could be faster. I have read and watched rave reviews on this Dyson hair dryer and plan to get it in the fall. Plus, the design concept is so cool! Beat me to the punch if you like and snag it 10 – 15% off today! Let me know what you think!

REMEMBER, the sale ends at MIDNIGHT TONIGHT, so get shopping!

Check back tomorrow for a One Two Cosmetics Eyelash tutorial! Perhaps this will be a week of beauty posts. Say hello on Instagram HERE. Happy Monday and I hope you have a wonderful week!

With Joy,
