Happy Memorial Day! Today I wanted to share three ways to wear the overall jumpsuits I have seen popping up in every store. I am all about saving money and I try to share multiple ways to style the same item so you can expand your closet. These are a fun piece that are unique and fashionable yet can be worn to work. This item is essentially pants with suspenders attached, or overall pants. These pants I am styling for 3 different scenarios is called the Black polka dot Suspender Jumpsuit. Shop it HERE.
LOOK #1: CASUAL
First, I created a casual look that is great to see a movie, do some shopping, or grab brunch in. I styled the suspender jumpsuit with a simple white tee. This particular one is from Madewell. Shop this white tee HERE.I paired the casual look with THIS crossbody from Rebecca Minkoff and THESE Kurt Cobain style white oval sunnies. THESE are the style earrings, but you may be able to find the exact ones on the Baublebar website.
I paired them with Golden Goose Deluxe Brand sneakers that are ivory and white with dyed hide stars. Shop the exact ones HERE. I absolutely recommend these sneakers. They are designer shoes but will last forever. They match everything and can be dressed up or down. The quality of these shoes is superb. In person, these shoes are excellent quality and are made to last. They are leather and will look brand new after 5 years of wear. If you have considered saving up for or splurging on GGDB brand tennis shoes, you will not be dissapointed!
LOOK #2: OUT ON THE TOWN
Next, I wanted a look that would be more fun, showy, and striking look for a night out on the town. I love pairing stripes and polka dots. This top is from local boutique Vestique in Greenville, SC, so I could not find a shoppable link for the item. Vestique may still have some in stock, but I purchased it in early March. I swapped to THESE $20 Free People cat-eye sunnies for a more fun, on-the-town look. All these items in each look are in the shoppable widget at the bottom of this post.
LOOK #2: WORK APPROPRIATE
Finally, I wanted to create a look that was appropriate for work. My office style is pretty simple. I would call it dressy casual. I love wearing slacks simply because they are easy. A button-up shirt is always work appropriate. It is crazy how simply changing tops changed this look completely. EVERYONE should have a classic white button-up shirt.
FUN FACT: this shirt is from Gaffney Outlet Marketplace Ralph Lauren, circa 2005. It has acrylic paint stains on the neck but I can’t get rid of it because I wore it to my first date with my hubby at Groucho’s in Columbia, SC!
If you are looking to add some variety to your closet, grab these beautiful pair of suspender jumpsuit pants at just $27.90! They are flattering on my pear shaped body and are flowy and fun. The polka dots are just subtle enough to fit into a casual, work, or going out outfit. I hope this gave you some inspiration to rework an old piece or give THIS suspender jumpsuit a try! For reference, I am wearing a size XS.
