Good Morning Lovelies! So although South Carolina has had an unusually warm winter, my mind has still been on vacation! Nordstrom and department stores are already releasing beautiful spring styles and I am loving the bohemian inspired prints, tassels, fringe, palm tree prints, 90’s influence, all with a modernized flair. Also, I plan on posting an entire article on where to buy swim in 2017– and I have already invested in 3 bathing suits, including the white off-shoulder polka dot version linked below– but I wanted to share what I have my eye on right now.
Boater hats, cultural embroidery, lace detail, off-the-shoulder, solids and fun prints, gingham, shades of blue, and fun prints are all included in my 2017 resort picks. I have included a new widget to help you shop these pieces at the bottom.
I have wanted a fun beach tote bag for the past 2 years and now that we have a boat I have a place to carry one. This may be the year I invest in the pale blue and aqua aztec print Steve Madden tote you see at the top right corner. Also, those Baublebar earrings match everything and a must-have!
I first purchased a S’well bottle last summer when I was going to hot yoga often. They truly hold ice for 24 hours and they keep temperature better than the popular yeti tumblers and cups. The twist top is secure and helps avoid spills when I am taking up too much space in my practice. I love them and they have recently released several beautiful new prints.
Finally, I am digging maxi dresses in all colors. Unexpected necklines- from plunging to around the neck- and bell sleeves are included in all my favorite brands. Check out the dresses in the bottom right from Tularosa, Show Me Your Mumu, and Free People. I actually tried on the gingham Anthropologie dress in XS tonight and it was HUGE, so if you order it downsize. It is a flowy style even after downsizing. Other brands that have some beautiful dress and maxi styles include Urban Outfitters, Flynn Skye, and Mara Hoffman.
I am loving everything in fashion right now. When else have 20’s boater hats, ’40’s crop tops, ’50’s high waists, ’60’s shifts, ’70’s bell sleeves, flares, and overalls, ’80’s scrunchies, ’90’s grunge, chokers, and off-the-shoulders, 2000’s necklines, and modern prints and tech gadgets all been in style at the same time!? Well, happy shopping and day dreaming!
With Joy, Audrey
