Must See Christmas Movies of 2018

Happy Saturday y’all! Today I wanted to share some of my favorite Netflix and Christmas movies to keep you entertained over the weekend before Christmas. Read along to get my shortlist of must see Christmas movies of 2018.

Must See Christmas Movies of 2018

1.       The Spirit of Christmas – This is one of Brad and my favorites! A busy body lawyer goes to try and close on an old Inn for a client. She learns that no one will do it because there is a ghost that lives inside, stuck here through a mystery. This is a romantic movie and actually has a great plot!

2.       The Christmas Chronicles – Kurt Russell as Santa Clause. A pair of siblings sneak onto Santa’s sleigh. As expected, they are thrust into a journey to save Christmas. The story is entertaining and Kurt Russell makes for a pretty blunt and entertaining Santa!

3.       The Princess Switch –  This one is new and was a great Netflix movie. The acting is great and although the plot is a little predictable, I sincerely enjoyed it! A girl goes to an international baking competition and bumps into the betrothed prince’s fiancé. When they see they are doppelgänger, they decide to swap places for a minute. I highly recommend this one!

4.       A Star – This new cartoon is my latest, FAVORITE! Mary and Joseph’s adventurous donkey tells the biblically accurate story of Jesus’s birth. There are lots of laughs and the movie is well-written for all ages. Also, the three wise men’s donkeys are voiced by Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, & Tracy Morgan.

6.       Love Actually – This is a 90’s movie with multiple story lines, that are actually intertwined at the end, tells struggles, adventures, and tales of love.

7.       White Christmas – This is my hubby and my favorite Christmas movie of all time. It’s an old movie with singing, dancing, and a tear-inducing plot about a retired Army vet. We don’t dare do Christmas without seeing this classic. Keep your tissues close.

8. It’s aWonderful Life– Another classic. Again, keep your tissues close. An adventure-seeking young man continually experiences misfortunes. When he reaches his limit and can take no more, an angel shows him that he has actually had quite a beautiful and wonderful life.

9.   The Holiday Calendar  – A struggling photographer is gifted with her late grandmother’s advent calendar. The calendar seems to predict and send her signs of decisions to make this Christmas. She thinks it just predicts her days, but perhaps the calendar is helping her find true love?

10.   A Very Murray Christmas – This Christmas special with Steve Murray is great to have on while you are wrapping gifts. Singing, dancing, and of course, Steve Murray is all so charming. Finally, we see cameos from quite a few stars. I love to play it during Christmas parties as well!

Have a beautiful weekend!

With Joy,

Audrey
