Evolution Fashion Show

Last Friday, I attended the inaugural Evolution Fashion Show. I wanted to share some photos and tell you all about it. Evolution of Greenville (SC) is a fashion group that does not discriminate and donates proceeds to the Susan G. Komen organization. I love when a local company takes something that is common and known and transforms it into something greater and meaningful.

I was invited to attend the Fashion Show as a blogger and had so much fun meeting other local bloggers in Greenville, SC. Pictured below from left to right are Summer Priester of “365DaysofSummer.com“, Sammy Batts of “FigLeaf&Co.com“, Mikayla Hunt of “Popgabble.com,” Sarah Wainwright of “TheSimpleBlonde.com,” Cara Sinicropi of “MirrorsandMimosas.com“, me, and Jenna Keene of “WholeKenandJen.com” and “Jennaakeene.com” and “Jennakeenephotography.com.” I also had friends Anna Jester, Tiffany Gwendolyn, and Ashton Reid modeling in the show. I also ran the magician behind my hair, Summer Morgan of Megan Diez Salon.  I have so much fun meeting new fashion lovers. Next, everyone is friendly and down-to-earth!

Above are bloggers pictured with Noah Guthrie, a local singer and songwriter that performed on Glee.

Among local boutiques featured were Black Tulip, Cocobella, HIP Resale, MyraMeilleure, One in a Vermillion, RockerBelles, Southern Tide, Suit City, and Vestique. Color, stand-out details, ruffles, and fun shapes were the theme of the night. Although I was not familiar with all of the boutiques featured, I will be frequenting all of them in the future! You can find links to the boutiques as well as addresses HERE.

For Evolution Fashion Show, I wore my trusty Louboutin Apostrophy shoes in Nude Leather. I paired it with a simple, straight neck, lace and embroidered, floral, midi dress by BB. Dakota, c/o Shopbop.com. I wore a size 2 but a 0 would have been a better fit for me. I love the sheer paneling at the bottom and the midi length. It was total irony and luck that I matched the red carpet backdrop here! Then, I wore my white flower resin earrings from Baublebar. I overwear these as I am literally obsessed. These earrings match everything! Because I wanted to bring out the florals of my dress, I woreMac Cosmetics Lipstick in Ruby Woo. Finally, I grabbed my black Rebecca Minkoff crossbody to carry my things in.

Evolution was so kind as to seat my husband and I near fellow bloggers on front row at the end of the runway. The show provided goodie bags including Susan G. Komen swag, a cute wine glass, candy, koozies, coupons, etc.

A silent auction, appetizer room, and 3 full bars were the final details of the show. The show began with a t-shirt design with a marked out word “racism.” I love the idea of diversity, unity, and connection through a fashion show. Evolution Fashion Show is the brainchild of Brandi Hines, Christina McLeod, and Ashlea Sherman-Wyzard.  Because this year’s event was a blast, I look forward to attending the 2019 show!

With Joy,

Audrey
