As your Dad said to me earlier today, “if I had to pick a year of my life to relive, it would be this one because I can’t imagine experiencing life without her.” You have amplified the love in our lives 100 times over!
The joy, love, peace, trust, & connection your Daddy and I have are unparalleled to any other relationship we’ve ever had. There’s no doubt we were made for each other and would be incomplete without one another. From the moment you entered our life we knew that was the case about you also. Having a child is only comparable to falling in love. It is a beautiful infatuation and deep love for another soul. A lay-down-my-life type of love.
You are so intuitive. You already know how to read a room. You will wave at neighbors as we’re walking around the community. You stay quiet and mild when we attend a funeral service. You are a deep thinker. You love to hear music and sing and dance. You have a lot to say even though they aren’t quite words yet.
I will never forget the first moment I saw you. I knew your eyes. I’ll never forget your first laugh. Your first steps from me to Daddy (3 to be exact). The times your giggle box gets turned upside down. Your excitement to see your grandparents. Your sweet morning babbles. Your love for other kids and babies. Your satisfaction of chowing down watermelon, black beans, cheese, & juice! You love baths, boob, your xylophone, walks, & being outdoors.
You are unusually inquisitive and expressive for a baby. I cannot wait to see what big things you learn and experience in life! I cannot wait to watch you accomplish anything you set your mind to. I love giving you all I can and will always work to provide the best life I can give you. You give me motivation and fresh hunger for success so I can do so.
You love saying “hey!” to everyone and have never met a stranger. You’re rarely shy. You wave hey, bye-bye, & say Dada, Daa (dog), & Muhmuh. You won’t stand for hats, bows, sunglasses, or headbands, but we’ve got plenty of time for that in the future! 😊
Thank you for the nights you let us sleep through the night and the cuddles on the ones you didn’t. Here is a reminder of how incredible you are and how much we love you!
