Good Morning guys! I slept so good last night and I am attributing my beauty rest to these blue light glasses I have been using the past year. I cannot wait to tell you all about them and how they improve sleep and normalize melatonin production! Read on for all the details and to see how they can help improve your well-being!
Light that appears white is comprised of red, green, and blue light waves. Day or sunlight emits all of these naturally. Blue light creates alertness and wakes up the mind. LCD screens like computers and phones have an excess of blue light waves between 415-455 nanometers. This wavelength is most toxic to retinal cells because they emit more energy. In addition, wavelengths of 450-550 nm are turquoise and suppress melatonin production and interrupts your internal clock an circadian rhythm.
Personally, I do not get a lot of eye strain. However, I become wired if I look at my phone at night at ALL. The night shift option helps but it is not enough to maintain my circadian rhythm.
When I am working on blog post in the evening, I reach for these THE BOOK CLUB Blue light glasses. I try to wear them starting around 7-8 PM to get my body ready for the evening and rest.
I love these the modernized vintage frames and design. They are sturdy and very affordable at $40 a pair. Next, the packaging is beautiful and it comes with this yellow glasses case. Finally, the glasses are BPA-free and fully recyclable.
The glasses reflect blue light waves so they are not absorbed by the eyes. They definitely help me fall asleep easier when it is time for bed and help me wake up better.
