All About Hydrafacials at Organic Tan Face and Body

What is the first thing you do when you wake up? Of course I float right into the bathroom & take a score of what I have to work with for the day in the mirror. Lion manes and pale lashes can almost always be remedied, but there is not much you can do quickly to create beautiful, glowy skin. If you wake up with acne, dryness, small wrinkles, or crepey skin, we can count on it living with it at least a few days. Luckily, I am here to share a quick, relaxing, and easy procedure you can do on your lunch hour to get that morning glow guaranteed for the next few weeks. Read on to learn a secret beauty tool of the stars available right in our hometown: hydrafacials at Organic Tan Face and Body.

A Unique, Advanced Spa Experience for Greenville

Organic Tan Face and Body is in a shopping center off Haywood Road, 477 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC. Organic Tan Face and Body is an upscale, boutique spa unlike any other in Greenville. A variety of services for nails, organic air-brush tanning, lash extensions, brows, hair and makeup, lash perms, and facials are available. When I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly local native and female entrepreneur Lindsey Holder. She had me fill out some quick paperwork and I went on back to get comfortable and begin my hour of zen.

My technician, Tiffany, was kind and professional and answered my thousands of questions. Let’s be real, I am obnoxiously inquisitive and want every detail. The Hydrafacial tool is a resurfacing procedure that detoxifies, cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, hydrates, and protects the skin through its patented system. The HydraFacial treatment is not painful at all, non-invasive, non-irritating, and the results are instant! The whole thing takes 30-45 minutes, so you can do it on your lunch break. They have a tinted moisturizer to hide redness at the end if you are still going about your day.

Cleansing, Exfoliation, and Microdermabrasion

There were 5 parts to the HydraFacial. First, she went over my skin with the HydraFacial pen, which is essentially a pencil eraser-sized tip with a high-suction. This first step is a microdermabrasion that freed my skin of dead skin cells, revealing the fresh, healthy layers and filling them with plumping peptides and hydrating Hyaluronic acid.

The Peel Accommodating My Sensitive Skin

Next came the acid peel. I have highly sensitive and dry skin, so Tiffany and I decided to do the least acidic level of peel. This peel loosens the dirt and oils in your pores with salicylic and glycolic acid. When I envision a peel, I think of a burning and harsh mask. This was not what the acid peel was at all. The peel was only on my skin a moment or two, just long enough for Tiffany to massage it circularly around my face. *ahhhh*

The Extractions

Next in the process came extractions, which I enjoyed most. This is the part that created the redness in my skin. The extractions are like a tight vacuum pen to my skin and it felt so nice and satisying. I had no obvious white or blackheads, but there were plenty off disgusting particles floating from my skin in the collection tube, seen below. This vacuum-like extraction pulls slightly at your skin, drawing fresh blood through the capillaries at your face. You will notice redness of my skin below, so take note. Simultaneously, the lymphatic system that removes impurities and liquids from facial muscles is stimulated. I noticed a light exaggeration of facial contour and peppy cheekbones.

Most people have tiny black spots in the pores of his or her nose. These black spots are sebum, skin oils, and dead skin cells. Over time, these impurities filling the pores can stretch them. The extraction completely removed anything out of my pores. The strongest of multiplier mirrors would reveal perfection!

Even at this point, my skin felt super clean. You know when you shower, use a thick mask, and your face feels luxuriously clean? It is better than that and we still have a couple steps remaining.

Hydration and Protection

Finally, Tiffany swapped the HyraFacial pen to the hydrating and protecting portion of the process. Now, when the pen went to my skin a proprietary concoction of Hyaluronic acid and reparative peptides was filtering through my pores. When the pen suction is removed, the hydrating serum remains. Tiffany massaged that through my face again. The face massage got me so relaxed and chill.

Excitingly but also unfortunately, my HydraFacial was done! I had quite a few of you point out that my reddened face looked painful. Let me assure you that no part of this process was even the least bit uncomfortable. The redness is simply fresh, new blood at the capillaries just under my skin, bringing fresh nutrients and oxygen to my skin. It is a result of the vacuum-like extraction process. The redness dissipates in 10-15 minutes. Finally, remember to ask for the tinted moisturizer if you are headed back to work.

Immediate Results

As you can see above, my face was glowing the next day and I have been hydrated fully for at least 2 weeks! The large bumps on my nose and cheek were nearly completely gone by the next day. My skin looks tight and plump. Wrinkles and crepiness were eliminated and filled with hydration. You would have never guessed I camped by a fire in 30 degree weather and stuffed myself with chocolate covered s’mores 3 days prior!

All in all, I was blown away at how fresh and new my skin appears. Every complaint I could possibly have on my skin was improved. My skin tone is more neutral and smooth. The crepey skin and fine lines around my eyes from regular giggling is plumped and filled in with hydration. Any redness I had from camping windburn is vanished. I have been acne free since the HydraFacial. My skin is legit as smooth as my new nephew ha!

The best part about a HydraFacial is that it is not just a short fix. The HydraFacial repairs skin to optimal health. Who doesn’t want to wake up and feel glowy and gorgeous when we look into the mirror? Do a little jade rolling on those undereye bags and you are good to go!

The HydraFacial at Organic Tan Face and Body was truly an effective and relaxing experience that I plan to reschedule soon. Luckily, Organic Tan Face and Body has a great deal going through November for ONE Signature HydraFacial (what I got) for the cost of the membership one. This is $180 instead of $208. Use code << NOVEMBER GLO >>.

This is less than botox and highly comparable for a procedure ranked above IPL. Read more about HydraFacials, and watch an informative video HERE.
