Happy Sunday Sweet Soul! This week I am super excited to be sharing that I am rebranding my blog this week. I am also sharing this beautiful tennis and yoga activewear from Thrive Societe. Therefore, scroll on down for more.
First: why am I rebranding? I want to steer my focus towards wellness. Style and fashion will remain at the forefront, but I am feeling very passionate about wellness lately. Wellness is so much more than simply working out. Wellness is what you eat, how you care for yourself and your body, the items you use daily and what you are putting into your skin. It is relationships, family, friends, significant other, and work. Wellness is feeling content, happy, and in a positive state of mind. Wellness is finding, knowing, and loving the person that you are, and letting your intuition and gut make more decisions than your overanalyzing mind. Letting our gut guide us helps us be real and stay to the tune of who you or I am as a person.
Our society should be paying so much more attention to our bodies and what we put into them. We only get one body and temple. One set of skin. We put hundreds of chemicals that are absorbed through the skin. We regularly consume pesticides, plastics, sugars, and synthetic preservatives through our food. Even the fruits and vegetable sections have their demons.
I want to get a little more personal about mental health, my experiences, and “de-shaming” mental illness. Let’s get into real topics and dive deep. I want to provide insight and jog your thoughts about new ideas.
Things to Look Forward To:
ONE weekly post with new fashion, outfits, trends, & closet tips. I feel what you wear helps set a huge theme each morning. If I look good and feel confident in what I am wearing it starts my morning off with a smile. I want to look presentable and feel comfortable at the same time. It is good to optimize my closet and try to steer toward items that are classic, yet fun. I like to spend money but strategize where to splurge (we never gain too much weight for shoes, jewelry, and accessories). Finally, save on tees, blouses, and tanks. I will share capsule closets with you.
ONE weekly wellness posts on relationships, self-care, nutrition, alternative health, fitness, mental health, organization, & tips to improve your daily life.
ONE weekly review of a beauty item or local vendor. I was born and raised in Greenville and know there is SO much variety and beauty in this city. I want to highlight local vendors and spread the word about the available wellness options in our modern city.
Occasional travel posts, vlogs, and home decor. The etcetera posts.
In addition, I am upping my video posts and have a goal of 1 video a month to Youtube. I will be sharing more on Instagram and Instagram stories, including #Mondaymotivation, #wellnesswednesday, & bi-weekly #thursdaythoughts.
NEW design. I love my blog layout, but with my new design I want posts to be easier to find, more specific, and easier to read. I am moving my colors toward a pale pink, aqua, mint, coral, teal, and navy scheme. Overall, the design will remain white, clean, and simple, but it will be much more user-friendly.
