A Mother’s Day Self-Care Spa Gift Basket She Can Use on Her Own Time

Is there really anything we could gift Mom that would actually correspond with how much she sacrifices for us? Probably not. However, Mother’s Day is an opportunity to remind her of our gratefulness and treat her to something special.

My Mother is pretty easy to buy for, but this year I honed my focus on her self care. She is so full of empathy and takes on the many emotions my siblings and I inflict upon her each day. She always answers the phone and we keep her very busy with requests. In addition, she is always a relentless cheerleader.

As a result, I wanted to make sure she is taken care of at the end of the day. Hence, I decided to gift her a “Spa day and Self-care” Mother’s Day gift basket.

I turned to Sprouts Farmers Market as a one-stop shop for clean, organic products she can use again and again on her own time. For around $100, I purchased a full range of bath and spa products, guilt-free wine and snacks, and quality essential oils for beauty sleep that she would never splurge on herself.

Although we are grown, she stays busy with chores, taking care of my nephews and grandma, and ALWAYS answers the phone! Since she stays very busy, I surmised that the self-care spa gift basket would be useful when everything is closed and she needs a long bath, face mask, or similar pick-me-up.

Like me, my Mom has sensitive skin and likes neutral smells and natural ingredients. Sprouts Farmers Market has a large section of affordable, organic, and natural products. “Organic” means the product is made without the use of pesticides, fungicides, or insecticides, so you can be sure to avoid the bad chemicals that are sneaking their way into our products these days.

Mother’s Day is Sunday week, on May 12th. I gifted the basket to my Mom early so I could share with you exactly what I included. She loved it! Feel free to create an identical or similar Mother’s Day gift basket. My local Sprouts is in Simpsonville, SC. Find your nearest store at Sprouts.com.

My thoughts on the Mother’s Day gift basket was to get some spa items to relieve sore muscles and dehydrated skin as well as shower products that nourish hair and skin. I got a face mask for her to enjoy while she is soaking in an Epsom Salt bath. Next, I wanted some light beverages and easy snacks. Nuts and popcorn were savory and light options that are easy to eat during a movie.

The oils were last part of the self-care equation for a good nights’ rest. Peppermint oil is a good toner, alleviates stress and headaches, and increases alertness, digestion, and hair growth. The pillow spray helps improve sleep, headaches, and anxiety. One spray helps ease the mind of stress and induces a sense of relaxation and drowsiness. These were my choices and the last part of my self-care equation, but Sprouts had a huge variety of Aura Cacia oils from which you can choose. Finally, I piled everything into a basket from Hobby Lobby.
