Let’s be reel… It is HOT in South Carolina, and we have a nice, breezy cold front now. Although it usually takes a week or two, the annual weather reminder that fall is just around the corner leaves just in time for football season. To stay cool in the wet Carolina heat, I love to throw on a chic wrap dress. Convenient for layering at the office, more mature midi length dresses are popular in stores. A wrap style is a great shape for just about any body type as it ties at the waist. This Leith wrap dress I snagged at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can be style many ways depending on the event or weather:
- Solo; for a summer date.
- With a white tee underneath; for the movies or dinner with his parents.
- With a dark denim jacket over top and dark skinny jeans underneath;
- With a black leather jacket and black booties; for a night on the town.
- With a cardigan, loafers, & a top bun at the office; for the office.
As you can see, one could wear this essentially any time of the year. I had nothing this color and the fabric is beautiful and silky. We shot this look at Surfside Beach, South Carolina, and I am very sunburned and tired from surf and sun here. Putting on the new black Dolce Vita pumps, also purchased at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, was an instant energy booster! Next, I paired it with this Jenny Bird Choker (all linked below). It is sold at PSquared Boutique in Greenville, SC. Finally I added a Stella & Dot Bangle and an old Lilly bracelet. I also wore this bracelet combo on the day of the solar eclipse!

Finally, enjoy this beautiful weather. We are blessed with cool summer breeze, but others nearby are going through the disaster Hurricane Harvey. My prayers go out to them. Houston, Texas is already flooded and is still set receive double the volume of rain before the storm dissipates.
