Valentine’s Day Edit: Gifts for You

I love Valentine’s Day and always have.  Even when I was single it brought me goose bumps and dreams about my other half whom I knew was out there!  On another note, I love the cliche hearts and red, pink, and white.  It is the teaser to spring and when I put out all my home decorations.

Valentine's Day Edit: Gifts for You

CLOCKWISE:
  1. Sass & Belle Pineapple Photo Frame:  Pineapple is the symbol of hospitality.  This little standing frame adds class, personality, and can be used in any room!
  2. Kate Spade New York Metro mother-of-pearl heart watch, 34mm:  I have an old Kate Spade Watch I love.  It still keeps time and is of great quality.  The strap unhooks often, but this watch uses a classic buckle closure and I am in love with the mother of pearl and heart detail.
  3. Fresh Sugar Treated Lip Treatment SPF 15:  I received samples of these colored chapsticks as a birthday gift from Sephora years ago.  Every time one resurfaces I use it constantly until it dissappears again; my chapstick comrades understand my pain.  I have tried RUBY and PETAL and especially loved the Petal color as I tend to gravitate towards more neutrals.  This is the most pigmented, least drying, and moisturizing chapstick I have ever used and plan to get one in every color.
  4. Slip for Beauty Sleep ‘Slipsilk‘ Pure Silk Pillowcase:  I have the Illuminage brand of the silk pillow in beige and it is a dream.  Unfortunately it is very worn and picked after 2 years.  I plan to try Slip brand soon.  I will never go back to regular pillowcases after using mine for the last couple years.  They help prevent split ends, do not rub wrinkles in your face, and stay cool to touch.  My husband was confused how I spent so much money on pillowcases when I described them, but he has definitely been converted to a believer.
  5. Tory Burch York Buckle Tote:  I have carried this tote in greige for over a year, stuff it to its absolute max, and it does not have a stray fiber.  It is the best low-luxury cost pocketbooks money can buy.
  6. UGG Dakota Slipper:  It is still cold out, and I always seem to need a quick pair of slippers to grab the mail, get something out of my car, commute between my yoga studio, or take our dog out quickly.  In addition to the necessity, there are also so many beautiful colors available.
  7. Dyptique Baies Scented Candle, 6.5 oz:  I have desired one of these candles since I graduated college and began dreaming of buying a home!  I first got to smell them on my honeymoon and they scents are worth the hype.  I pin the packaging on its consistent place in home decor blogs.
  8. Rebecca Minkoff Chain Heart Crossbody Bag:  How adorable is this crossbody bag!?  The white is more versatile, but I would definitely choose pink over versatility.
  9. Cathy’s Concepts ‘Good Morning’ Ceramic Coffee Mugs (Set of 2):  I want to buy these for my hubby and I.  Coffee is a staple in our household!
  10. Baublebar Pinata Tassel Drops: Tassel Earrings are here to stay! These bold red ones would be excellent matching, as a pop of color, for a football game (assuming your team is also red/garnet), or if you are feeling extra stylish laying by the pool.
  11. Ray Ban 52mm Sunglasses: I have wanted pink-rimmed sunnies since Atlantic-Pacific posted this outfit.  Colorful rims will stick around this summer and next.  This style is modern with rounder frames and the double nose bar.

Funny story: both my husband and I had our fly-fishing waders fail and leak this last month.  They both lasted five years, give or take a month.  Seeing as duck season recently ended, we are now in full self-deemed fly fishing season, so we purchased each other new fly-fishing waders from Orvis “for Valentine’s Day.”  We upgraded to the Sonic Style that has ‘welded’ stitching and does not have the cloth pocket.

I will post another Valentine’s Day Edit, geared for the special man in your life, Sunday.  Let me know if you make any purchases from the list by leaving a comment below.

With Joy, Audrey
