Autumn is officially upon us, and although Greenville has 85-degree afternoons through November, the Dogwoods have turned and it is time to say goodbye to summer. Once we have finally accepted that summer is over we all begin to get Pumpkin Spice crazy and rotate your closet to your cold-weather clothes. Apple picking, hiking, football games, festivals, fairs, and haunted mazes will monopolize most Greenville’s weekends. P Squared Couture hosted us for a fall fashion preview in their aesthetically designed and curated shop on Stone Avenue.
P Squared is located on the ground floor of Main + Stone apartment building, adjacent to Megan Diez Salon. Parking is readily available around the building. Pro tip: They’re open late every Thursday until 7pm. The late hours allow you to get your pick of new arrivals, beat the weekend crowd and still have time to browse after a long day at the office.
Pam and Paige (meet them here), the store’s namesake, own and curate the boutique with a little something for everyone. The South Carolina shaped slate cheese board and wine stopper make for great house warming. They offer feather and printed bowties as well as shaving and facial care by Jack Black, H. Goose Watches (unisex) and more on the way for men.
Texture is a huge theme in fashion this fall, and the fall collection includes suedes, leather, velvet, and metallic. Olive, blush, maroon and yellows are the new brown and navy. Even footwear is moving into lighter shades to brighten up the darker days.
Look for on-trend choker details, 70’s style bell sleeves, ruffles, military influence, and classic plaid and floral prints throughout the store. Finally, the edgy selection of jewelry and leather bags will make a staple in your closet for several years.
P Squared also carries yoga and athleisure from Good HYOUMAN, Free People Movement, and more. The Good HYOUMAN brand is luxuriously soft and can double for warm pajamas or loungewear. Leggings were featured in 2017 New York Fashion Week worn under everything from dresses to tunics to crop tops. Speaking of leggings, their Spanx fly off the shelf.
P Squared caters to Greenville’s football obsession, offering an array of Gamecock or Tiger colored tops and denim. Seen below, J. Brand jeans are designer denim that maintain shape, do not stretch with wear, and uphold quality.
