An Easy Errands Outfit

Hi Everyone!  We are finally back from our vacation in Belize.  To say that it was an amazing vacation would be an understatement.  I have begun posts to review our entire trip, budget, what I wore, what we ate, and our excursions, so look for those throughout May!  You may have noticed I did not post any blogs and I decided to take a mental break away from all forms of my work. Allowing myself this space opened new ideas and an entire new mindset for future posts and I am really excited to share with you all I am working on.

My favorite thing about traveling is meeting natives and hearing their stories.  Whether it be our fishing guide who’s father taught him the trade or a bartender drinking out of a cup blazened with his personal excursion brand logo to stumbling upon the tiny maid service ladies laughing and literally dancing on a table in a room they were cleaning. Most refreshing were three mindsets all the islanders seemed to have: 1. They would absolutely always strike up a conversation and share some happy sentiments with us strangers. 2. They lived within their means and are grateful for what they have. 3. They took life in the present and slowed down to enjoy life.

On the first day I woke up in Belize I noticed my throat was very sore.  I thought it was just a sinus release from flying up and pressure changes, but by the time we were flying home I could barely stand in line for customs from dizziness and malaise.

I took my own advice and was joyful to come home to a clean house! Special thanks to my little brother for watching my pup. If I was not sick I would likely have ran some errands after work.  I love to create casual and comfortable outfit that still screams my personality and is put-together, and a sporty white dress with colorful sneakers fits the bill perfectly.

I received this choker that can be styled a couple of ways for free from Baublebar after making a $40+ purchase. It is a ‘bonus Bauble’ and is something I would buy anyway so I was glad to get it!

This dress is an older style from Old Navy, no less.  I have linked my 3 favorite errand-running worthy white dresses I want.

I implore you to travel every chance you can as there is nothing more mind opening than being in a completely new place.  Your mind forces you to live in the present while traveling because you are taking in the sight, sound, smell, and feels when you are in a new place.  It puts you in a fight or flight mode and instinctively strengthens your senses so you get to know your surroundings.  It is a safety preventative mechanism from our cavemen ancestors.

Leave me a comment in the box below with any questions you have about Belize as my overall post will be a Q&A! I am still reeling from all the excitement and beauty.

With Joy,

Audrey
